Potty about Ceramicist Takeshi Yasuda

mima - Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art

Gifted students took a visit to mima (Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art) to work with various organisations on learning new art methods. The students learned ways of using art through the use of computers with ceramicist Takeshi Yasuda as their main focus for inspiration. They also had a chance to sample other aspects of Japanese culture such as other arts, music and most important of all delicious food.

Students gained in advanced ICT skills and the use of mind-maps to explore topics out of school. The software they used is now available to all of the schools in the region via weblink and has become a huge benefit. The work that had been carried out during the project has had a major impact on the students as they now continue their work in school with an added boost of confidence.
