Tsurugajo
Tsuruga Castle (also known as Aizuwakamatsu Castle) was first constructed in 1384. Like many of the other major castles in Japan, parts of the castle had to be restored including the largest tower of the fortress known as the tenshu which was rebuilt in concrete in 1965. Tsuruga castle now houses a museum and an observatory gallery.
