Lunch Duty

Lunch time for Japanese elementary students is very different to that of primary school students. Rather than eating in a dining hall, a group of students have to take lunch from the kitchen and serve it to their fellow classmates in the classroom. Once lunch is over and everybody has eaten, the students then have gather all of the bowls and dishes and take it back to the kitchen to be cleaned. Like professional catering staff, students also must wear aprons, hats, gloves and masks for health and hygene.
